Branch has appointed Kunik Patel as Director and Head of Sales- APAC, where he has taken on the responsibility of scaling the company’s Discovery Ads Platform across the Asia-Pacific region.
Patel has announced the move through a LinkedIn post, marking the end of a 13-year stint at InMobi and the beginning of a new chapter at Branch. In the post, he has reflected on his long association with InMobi, crediting the organisation, its culture and leadership for shaping his professional journey, while also expressing enthusiasm about building and scaling new solutions at Branch.
Prior to joining Branch, Patel has spent more than 13 years at InMobi Advertising, most recently serving as Director and Business Head of Brand Sales, InMobi Exchange and Glance – INSEA from March 2025 to January 2026.
Before this, from July 2022 to March 2025, he has worked as Director and Head of Brand Business – InMobi DSP and Exchange, India, where he has led monetisation for brand advertising across programmatic and non-programmatic channels.
Between July 2020 and August 2022, Patel has served as Head – Industry Sales at InMobi Ads, India, leading national mobile ad sales across multiple verticals including retail, auto, BFSI, QSR, tech and telecom. Prior to that, from January 2019 to June 2020, he has held the role of Industry Head for Tech, Telco, QSR, Consumer Durables, OEM, Auto and Retail categories, managing national teams and key brand and agency partnerships.
His earlier roles at InMobi have included Head of Business (North) from April 2017 to January 2019, Regional Brand Sales and Agency Head from September 2015 to April 2017, and Brand and Performance Sales Lead – Mobile Advertising from August 2012 to August 2015, during which he has been responsible for revenue growth, agency relationships and expanding InMobi’s mobile advertising footprint across regions.
Before joining InMobi, Patel has worked as Brand Sales Manager – Display Advertising at Komli Media from February 2010 to July 2012, where he has handled digital branding solutions and key agency relationships. He has earlier spent over three years at Naukri.com (Info Edge India) from August 2006 to September 2009 as Manager – Corporate Sales, following stints as Assistant Manager and Senior Executive. His career began with short roles at HDFC Bank as a Personal Banker in early 2006, a summer internship at Hutch in 2005, and an early marketing role at VR Designers between April 2003 and March 2004.
