Amazon India's Kedar Ravangave Joins Kotak Mahindra Bank As Head Of Marketing

After being associated with Amazon India for close to ten years, Kedar Ravangave has called it quits at the e-commerce major and joined Kotak Mahindra Bank as its new Head of Marketing- Consumer, Commercial and Private Banking.

He confirmed the development to Marketing Mind.

During his close to a decade long stint at Amazon India, he served the role of Head- Brand and Category Marketing at the e-commerce major for the past six years.

He joined the e-commerce major in 2015 as Senior Marketing Manager- Consumer Electronics and Wireless Devices and assumed additional responsibilities of the company’s events vertical in April 2016 before being promoted to Head- Marketing at the company in April 2018.

During his time at Amazon India, Ravangave launched The Great Indian Festival Sales for Amazon India contributing to more than 50% of overall FY business of the company, Amazon Fashion and built fashion credentials for perceptions and brand imagery and Amazon Fresh.

He also built MPAM (Marketing Process and Assets Management) to automate & streamline marketing operations and processes as well as launched an in-house Regional Production hub for efficiencies and speed as well as the Amazon Pay brand at the company.

Prior to that Ravangave was associated with Marico for a period of five years, between June 2010 to April 2015. He began his career with the FMCG major as a Management Trainee in June 2010 and got promoted to the position of Assistant Sales Manager (Haryana and Himachal Pradesh) after a year, in July 2011.

In April 2013, he assumed the role of Brand Activation Manager- Parachute at Marico and then went on to become Senior Brand Manager- Parachute Coconut Oil and Parachute Jasmine in May 2010.
