Sony Pictures Network India’s (SPNI) flagship show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), saw a 24% increase in viewership in its fourth week.
According to BARC HSM Urban 15+ (Week 33 to Week 36, 2024), the popular non-fiction show has also experienced an 18% growth overall, with an average TVR of 1.1 in week 36.
According to Sony Entertainment Television (SET), KBC’s recent Olympics-special episode featuring Manu Bhaker, who took the hot seat with bronze-medallist Aman Sehrawat rated 1.3 TVR. The episode featuring Banti Vadiva, from an Adivasi community of Asadi, in Madhya Pradesh, drew an overwhelming response, reflected in its rating of 1.3 TVR.
“Throughout the season, the program paid tribute to an array of exceptional individuals, from global champions who bring glory to India like Manu Bhaker and Aman Sehrawat to selfless healthcare pioneers like Doctor Ajay and Doctor Rani Bang, who have transformed lives through their tireless dedication in remote areas,” SET said.
