Kalyan Undinty has stepped down from his role as Senior Vice President of E-Commerce at WPP, where he has been associated for nearly two years.
He has shared the news of his exit through a LinkedIn post, expressing gratitude to his mentors, colleagues, and clients for their support during his tenure. In his note, he wrote, “As I wrap up my incredible journey at WPP, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all the inspiring leaders, mentors, and colleagues who made this chapter so special. Your guidance, collaboration, and constant encouragement have shaped not just my professional growth but also the person I’ve become. A huge shoutout to my amazing team & clients — it’s been a privilege to learn, create, and laugh alongside you. Here’s to all the memories, lessons, and friendships that will stay with me as I move on to my next adventure.”
Prior to joining WPP, Undinty had an extensive and diversified career at Reckitt, where he spent over eight years across multiple leadership roles in India and overseas. He served as Global E-Commerce Director from December 2022 to March 2024, leading operations across LATAM, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and ASEAN markets, where he played a pivotal role in designing operational models and creating a future-ready business ecosystem.
Before that, he was Regional Director – E-Commerce for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland between February 2021 and December 2022, where he led cross-functional teams, strengthened partnerships with key customers, and drove portfolio premiumisation.
From January 2018 to January 2021, he headed the e-commerce function for India, scaling the business tenfold in five years, contributing over 9% to the company’s total India revenue, and consistently ranking the geography among Reckitt’s top global markets.
He began his Reckitt journey in 2016 as National Key Account Manager and later as Marketing Manager for E-Commerce, where he helped establish and grow the digital commerce channel from the ground up.
Before joining Reckitt, Undinty worked with ITC for over six years, from June 2009 to December 2015, where he managed sales and marketing operations and contributed significantly to the success of iconic brands such as Savlon and Mom’s Magic. His strategic leadership helped ITC’s Kolkata Metro Branch achieve the No.1 position in growth and performance.
He began his professional journey with Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) in 2004 as a Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for setting up industrial lubricant operations in Durgapur and Kolkata and managing key government and industrial accounts.
