Having joined JioAds in January 2022 and serving the role of Head-Sales Strategy for a little more than two years now, Akila Jayaraman has now been elevated to the position of Head- GTM Strategy and Marketing at Jio’s digital media advertising platform.
In her new role, she will lead the overall Go To Market narrative, positioning and pricing across JioAds businesses including ConnectedTV, Retail Media, In-store Media, DOOH and SMB; driving customer demand and adoption via in-bound and outbound product marketing; and building the overall brand and thought leadership for JioAds
Prior to joining JioAds, she served the role of Vice President at Cheil India for more than a year, starting November 2020.
Before that, she was associated with Essence (now EssenceMediacom) for a period of close to three-and-a-half years, starting July 2017. For the first two years, she served the role of Senior Director at the agency and was elevated to the role of AVP in July 2019.
From April 2015 to June 2017, she also served as Director- Performance Marketing at Madhouse and Head- Sales and Business Development for Bharti Airtel at Comviva Technologies from October 2011 to March 2015.
In the past, she also worked with Ericsson India and Feedback Business Consulting.
