Ishan Chatterjee has been assigned the additional role of CEO- Sports and Live Experiences at JioStar, succeeding Sanjog Gupta, who has been appointed as the CEO at the International Cricket Council (ICC).
He will continue working as Chief Business Officer- Sports Revenue, SMB and Creators, Jiostar and will head the merged entity’s sprawling sports business across TV and digital.
Before joining JioStar in September 2024, Chatterjee served as Managing Director, YouTube India from November 2022 to October 2024. Prior to that, he was Managing Director, Product Partnerships, APAC at YouTube from May 2021 to November 2022, following his role as Director, Product Partnerships, APAC between April 2020 and May 2021, and Director, YouTube Product Partnerships, APAC Emerging Markets from July 2018 to April 2020, all based in Singapore.
Before his YouTube tenure, he worked at Google Play as Director, Google Play, EMEA from November 2016 to July 2018, based in London.
He also held various roles at Google, including Director, Global Client and Agency Solutions, from June 2016 to October 2016; Global Client Leader, from October 2015 to May 2016; Regional Client Leader, EMEA between July 2014 and September 2015, and Industry Head, Top Accounts, FMCG from October 2011 to June 2014.
Earlier in his career, Chatterjee worked at McKinsey and Company as an Engagement Manager from June 2011 to October 2011, after serving as an Associate from October 2009 to June 2011.
Previously, he was associated with Hindustan Unilever (HUL) as Area Sales and Customer Manager, Home and Personal Care from January 2003 to July 2005, and later as Regional Brand Manager, Skin until May 2007.
