Interbrand List Of 100 Best Global Brands 2020

  • Amazon emerged as the top performer with a growth of 60%, the highest this year. It ranked on the #2 place on the list.
  • Apple becomes the first brand to cross the $300 billion mark and stood at the #1 position this year.
  • Instagram, YouTube, Tesla, and Zoom have made the list for the first time.

Interbrand has published its Best Global Brands rankings 2020. The list consists of the top 100 global brands and was ranked in terms of its brand value.

Apple stood at the first position with a brand value of $322,999 million. The brand saw a 38% growth in its value. Apple is a brand that leads the world in innovation with iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Apple has become the first brand to surpass the $300 billion mark.

Following Apple’s lead, Amazon improved its position by 1 place than last year. Amazon saw a 60% growth and has a brand value of $ 200,667 million. In terms of growth, Amazon added the most to their brand value.

Microsoft’s value grew 53% to $ 166001 million, marginally overtaking Google, which was down by 1% to $ 165,444 million.

Samsung, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s, and Disney stood in the fifth, sixth seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth positions respectively. However, the value of all of these brands, except for Samsung, has declined in comparison to last year’s data.

Facebook, however, has seen a fall in its growth, yet again, by 12% this year. Though it improved its position by 1 position its brand value was estimated at $35,178m.

OTT, IT, and eCommerce brands dominated the top 10 fastest growers in the list, with Amazon and Microsoft followed by Spotify (70th place, up 52%), Netflix (41st, up 41%), and Adobe (27th, up 41%).

The debutants to the list were Instagram, YouTube, Tesla, and Zoom which stood at 19th, 30th, 40th, and 100th place respectively.

Interbrand has been the world’s leading brand consultancy, for over 40 years – having pioneered iconic work and forged many of the brand-building tools that are now commonplace.
