Hero Realty Appoints Ex-BPTP CMO Karan Kumar As Its New Chief Marketing Officer

After hanging his boots as Group Chief Marketing and Growth Officer of ART Fertility Clinics, and making a return to his Real-Estate roots by serving a short stint as CMO of BPTP, Karan Kumar has now joined Hero Enterprise’s Hero Realty as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

The move marks a pivotal change as Hero Realty, a Hero Enterprise business, gears up for significant growth, focusing on sustainable, community-centric developments.

Being the first CMGO of ART Fertility Clinics, Kumar was responsible for leading the company’s multicultural teams in Abu Dhabi (global headquarters) and Gurugram, heading overall marketing strategy, strategic partnerships with KOLs and referring doctors, digital marketing (including SEO, SEM, and PPC campaigns), and brand storytelling to drive revenue and margin growth through revised pricing and new customer acquisition.

Prior to this, he served the role of Chief Marketing Officer at DLF for a period of more than two-and-a-half years, starting December 2019. Being the first CMO of DLF, he not only led marketing and growth strategy, including digital marketing and customer experience for the residential portfolio, conceptualizing and executing 25 launches over 30 months, driving sales and revenue growth from under Rs. 2,500 Crores to over Rs. 7,500 Crores over 36 months overlapping with the pandemic, but also headed the marketing and branding strategy for the corporate brand and DLF Foundation, DLF’s CSR arm intervention.

Working directly with the Chairman and the Board at DLF, he was also responsible for leading luxury marketing and customer experience strategy for ‘The Camellias’ as well as the launch of ‘The Camellias Clubhouse’. Amongst others, he also headed the launch of ‘One Midtown’, ‘Parc Estate’ and more. Additionally, he also led the growth marketing mandate, heading the performance marketing strategy for CPC-led paid advertising campaigns, content marketing, and SEO for organic SEM campaigns for the residential business.

Before making a move to the Real Estate domain, Kumar was associated with Fabindia for about three years, ending December 2019. He joined them as Head of Brand and Marketing in January 2017 and was elevated to the role of Chief Brand and Marketing Officer in April 2018.

In the past, he also worked with ITC for more than a decade-and-a-half’s time and moved up the professional ladder from joining the company in June 2001 as Assistant Under Training to Head of Marketing, ECommerce, Portfolio Strategy and Digital Experiences- Retail in September 2015.

Welcoming Kumar to the Hero Enterprise Business, Madhur Gupta, CEO, Hero Realty, said, “Karan’s experience will be crucial in enhancing our brand’s presence and customer-centric initiatives and ensuring customer-centric growth as we strive to set new benchmarks in contemporary, eco-friendly living spaces.”

Expressing his enthusiasm on joining Hero Realty as CMO, Kumar said, “It is a privilege to be in a position to contribute to Hero Realty’s vision of creating contemporary, innovative, and sustainable homes that resonate with modern aspirations while fostering health, harmony, and community partnerships, aligned with our Chairman’s vision.”

With a legacy of trust and excellence from the Hero Group, Hero Realty remains dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable developments that transform urban living, community partnerships, and social value.

Adobe Partners Runway To Integrate Gen-4.5 AI Video Model Into Firefly Multi-year partnership has brought Runway’s generative video models into Adobe Firefly, with Adobe becoming Runway’s preferred API creativity partner Adobe has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with Runway to integrate generative AI video capabilities into its creative ecosystem. The collaboration has brought Runway’s video models into Adobe’s tools to support AI-driven video workflows for creators, studios, media companies, brands and enterprises. As part of the partnership, Adobe has become Runway’s preferred API creativity partner and has offered its users early access to Runway’s latest video models. Runway’s Gen-4.5 model has become available in the Adobe Firefly app for a limited period, ahead of a broader public release. The two companies have collaborated to develop AI capabilities tailored for professional video workflows, which have been made available exclusively within Adobe applications, beginning with Adobe Firefly. Adobe Firefly users have gained the ability to generate video using text prompts, experiment with pacing, motion and visual styles, and then refine outputs using Adobe’s video editing tools. Adobe has integrated Runway’s Gen-4.5 into Firefly’s workflow, enabling creators to move generated clips into applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for further editing and control. The companies have stated that Firefly customers will continue to receive early access to future Runway model releases through Adobe’s platform. Adobe and Runway have also worked with filmmakers, studios, agencies, streaming platforms and brands to co-develop new video capabilities within Adobe’s creative tools. The collaboration has focused on making generative video a consistent part of professional creative workflows. Runway’s Gen-4.5 has been made available in the Adobe Firefly app and on Runway’s own platform. Adobe Firefly Pro subscribers have been given unlimited generations until December 22. “As AI transforms video production, pros are turning to Adobe’s creative ecosystem – from Firefly to Premiere to After Effects – to imagine, craft and scale their stories across every screen,” said Ely Greenfield, chief technology officer and senior vice president, digital media, Adobe. “Runway’s generative video innovation combined with Adobe’s trusted pro workflows will help creators and brands expand their creative potential and meet the growing demands of modern content and media production.” “We’re building AI tools that are redefining creativity, storytelling and entertainment, with Gen-4.5 as the latest example,” said Cristóbal Valenzuela, co-founder and CEO, Runway. “This partnership puts our latest generative video technology in front of more storytellers, inside Adobe’s creative tools that are already the industry standard for many creators around the world.”
