Days after Ed-Tech startup BYJU’s winning the Indian team rights Paytm has been awarded title sponsorship rights for BCCI International and Domestic seasons 2019-23. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that One 97 Communications Pvt. Ltd. (Paytm) have officially acquired the sponsorship rights for the BCCI International and Domestic matches.
Paytm won the deal at a whopping price of Rs 326.80 Crores. If we count per match value, the winning bid costs Rs 3.80 Crores per match which is at 58% increment in comparison to the previous per match value of Rs 2.4 Crores.
Mr Rahul Johri, BCCI CEO said, “I’m pleased to announce Paytm as the BCCI home series title sponsor. Paytm is one of the new generation companies of India and we at the BCCI are proud of Paytm continuing its long-standing commitment with Indian Cricket.”
