Havells India has appointed Manjit Singh Sethi as President and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head – Cables, where he has taken charge of leading the company’s cables business. In his role, Sethi has been responsible for overseeing business strategy, operations, growth initiatives and strengthening Havells’ position in the cables segment. He assumed the role in December 2025 and is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The appointment has come to light after Sethi has updated his LinkedIn profile and shared details of his new role on the professional networking platform.
Prior to joining Havells, Sethi has served at KEC International as Executive Director from March 2021 to December 2025. During this tenure, he has led key strategic business units, serving as SBU Head – Cables from March 2021 to March 2025, followed by SBU Head – Renewables from April 2025 to December 2025. Based in Mumbai, he has been involved in driving business performance across core infrastructure and energy verticals.
Before KEC International, Sethi has spent over 29 years at ABB in various leadership roles. Most recently, he has worked as Head of Transformers, India, from November 2015 to February 2021, based in Vadodara, Gujarat. Prior to that, he has held the role of Business Unit Head – Power Transformers from October 2009 to November 2015, where he has led large and medium power transformer businesses, managed a workforce of over 400 employees and handled a profit and loss responsibility of approximately Rs 500 crore.
Earlier at ABB, he has served as Business Unit Head – Distribution Transformers from January 2006 to September 2009, and before that as Head of Marketing and Sales – Power Systems (North Zone) from January 2000 to December 2005, based in Delhi. He has begun his career at ABB as a Sales Manager handling extra-high voltage (EHV) products from December 1991 to December 1999.
Sethi has started his professional journey at Bhartia Group – India, where he has worked as an Engineer from July 1990 to November 1991 in Faridabad, Haryana.
