Gujarat Titans has appointed Abhinav Shukla as Head of Marketing, with effect from February 2026. He will be responsible for driving the franchise’s overall marketing strategy, brand growth and fan engagement initiatives.
Before joining Gujarat Titans, Shukla spent more than six years at Dream11. He was most recently Assistant Vice President Marketing from July 2024 to February 2026, a tenure of 1 year and 8 months. Prior to this, he served as Marketing Director from July 2021 to July 2024, spanning just over three years, and earlier worked as Senior Brand Manager from October 2019 to June 2021, for 1 year and 9 months. At Dream11, his responsibilities covered growth marketing, brand strategy, performance media and full-funnel marketing across platforms.
Earlier, Shukla was associated with Star India for over three years, from May 2016 to September 2019, as Brand Manager for Cricket. During this period, he led marketing and brand promotions for key cricket properties, including the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign #CricketKaCrown, which registered over 440 million viewers, according to media reports. He also worked on campaigns such as the West Indies tour of India 2018 and handled marketing responsibilities across football, badminton, hockey, premium global sports and the launch of Star Sports Tamil and Star Sports First.
Prior to Star India, he spent two and a half years at Sony Entertainment Television between July 2013 and December 2015 as Assistant Manager Marketing, working on sports channels Sony SIX and Sony KIX. His role involved marketing strategy, campaign execution, agency coordination, budget management and partnerships for properties including the IPL, NBA and the FIFA World Cup.
Shukla began his career at Tata Consultancy Services, where he worked as a Systems Engineer from October 2008 to June 2010, for nearly two years, before moving into media and marketing roles. Over his career, he has accumulated more than 17 years of professional experience spanning technology, sports broadcasting, digital platforms and consumer marketing.
