Google is rolling out its Gemini-powered features within Google Chrome to users across several Asia-Pacific countries, as the company accelerates efforts to embed artificial intelligence into everyday browsing.
The expansion covers markets including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam, bringing AI-driven tools directly into the browser experience. As part of the update, users will gain access to features such as AI-assisted search summaries, writing support and tab organisation, aimed at improving productivity and simplifying online tasks.
The move builds on Google’s broader strategy to integrate its Gemini AI across core products, positioning Chrome as a more intelligent, task-oriented platform. The company is targeting the region’s large and diverse internet user base, while also strengthening its competitive stance in the rapidly evolving AI-driven browser landscape.
The rollout reflects a phased global expansion of Chrome’s AI capabilities, with localisation and language support playing a key role in adapting the experience for different markets.
