Taking place at Day 2 of the Goafest was the second edition of Advertising Rocks, an initiative designed to encourage India’s Advertising, Media, and Marketing professionals to display their musical skills and abilities and get a chance to entertain audiences at South Asia’s largest advertising festival.
All the entries for the same were reviewed by Rajeev Raja, Founder and Soundsmith at Brandmusiq; Merlin D’Souza, Founding Partner and Principal Composer at Brandmusiq and Music Director; and Subhash Kamath, Former CEO of BBH and curator of Advertising Rocks.
Out of all, four shortlisted performers got a chance to perform and enthrall the audiences in each of the two solo categories- Indian and International.
Post this, the winners were chosen on the basis of jury decision and live audience voting and as part of the same, Nishant Patil from Logicserve Digital and Bodhisattwa Banerjee from VML India secured the top spot in Solo Indian and Solo International category respectively and received cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, each. The other two runners-up were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.
The judges for the second edition of Advertising Rocks were Harshdeep Kaur, Bollywood playback singer and Brandmusiq’s Raja and D’Souza.
Expressing his views on the wins, Kamath, Former CEO of BBH and curator of Advertising Rocks, said, “Our heartiest congratulations to the winners and all the participants. This has been a wonderful platform to showcase the musical talent in our industry. I hope we can make it even bigger next year!”
