Becoming a social media influencer has become the new craze nowadays. The youth today have found different platforms to cash in their followers by creating viral content and eventually through brand collaborations. Today, there are hundreds of people who have made a career out of it.

Ashish Chanchlani, an Indian Youtuber who became famous from his vines, is setting the goal for all aspiring content creators. The Youtuber has proven that hard work and persistence can only lead to success.

Chanchlani started making short videos on Youtube in 2014, today he is the second-most subscribed YouTuber and has recently crossed 23 million subscribers on the platform. In a very short time, the social media star has achieved immense success.

Early Life

Ashish was born on 8th December 1993 in Mumbai to Anil Chanchlani and Deepa Chanchlani who owned a multiplex in the city. He grew to be an entertainer of the family and fond of the industry. But due to his parent’s concern, he had to pursue his studies further.

If life would have taken a different turn for the Youtuber, he would have been pursuing something in the field of engineering today. But Ashish had different plans from the beginning. Being a huge fan of Akshay Kumar, Chanchlani always wanted to be an actor.

How It All Started?

Initially, he started making funny, relatable short videos for fun. But after receiving a lot of positive responses on Instagram, he decided to compile those and upload them on YouTube.

His first Youtube video was titled ‘How to annoy people who say ‘Tu Mere Baap Ko Janta Nahi Hai’. Soon he started making and posting videos on Youtube primarily.

Once his ‘Desi Vines’ started getting viral, he gradually started gaining many followers on Youtube.

Celeb Collaborations

Shahid Kapoor, Kartik Aryan, and his all-time favorite, Akshay Kumar is amongst the many Indian celebrities who have collaborated with the Youtuber to plug in their upcoming movies. That is enough to map his success quotient.

But to put a cherry on the top, Tom Hiddleston, the actor who played Loki in Marvel’s Avengers, recently had a virtual one on one with Ashish Chanchlani. Hiddleston was there to talk about his new Loki Series on Disney+ to his Indian fan base.

Before having an intriguing Q&A with the Youtuber, Tom Hiddleston complimented Chanchlani on his ‘sweetest smile’.

Tom Hiddleston is one of the several Hollywood stars who Ashish Chanchlani has collaborated for his videos.

Awards & Recognition

In 2018, Chanchlani was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award for ‘Best Digital Influencer’.

He also won the ‘Best Comedy Influencer’ award at the first edition of the World Bloggers Awards held at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019. The same year, he bagged a cameo in Men In Black: International.
