The cheetah started well in the race and was ahead but eventually lost to the racing car having the maximum speed of 225kph which is way more than a normal cheetah’s maximum speed.
Vergne was very happy for this race and said “The Techeetah Formula E Team and I want to be part of raising awareness for the wider impact that climate change has on our planet, “I’m really proud to have participated in this film.”
Formula E founder and chief executive Alejandro Agag was also present at the event and said “We knew the similarities in performance between the Formula E car and a cheetah, so we were curious to see the outcome.”
The new Formula E season will begin on Saturday in Hong Kong. Vergne will try to continue from where he left in the last season. He claimed his first Formula E victory in the final race of the 2016-17 season in Montreal and finished with fifth ranking overall in the drivers’ standings last season.
