Forbes India 2019 Top 9 Highest Grossing Movies Of The Year

2019 is nearing its end and the year surely has given us movie buffs a list of some of the most incredible movies to binge-watch on. Not only did the year prove to be extremely good for the movie business but also we were rewarded with some of the blockbuster and worth reminiscing performances by our favorite stars. 

Forbes India also recently listed out the top 9 movies of the year that made it big on the box office on Instagram, the caption which read, “As the @hrithikroshan-@tigerjackieshroff starrer crosses Rs 300 crore, here’s a look at 2019’s highest grossers”

Here’s a list of all the movies of the year by Forbes India that were hit at the box office.

1. War 

The recently released movie starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff crossed the 300 crore mark and has successfully managed to collect Rs. 301 crore at the box office. 

2. Kabir Singh 

The much controversial film of the year which stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role opposite Kiara Advani has managed to collect Rs.278 core at the box office. 

3. Uri: The Surgical Strike 

Starring the rising star of Bollywood Vicky Kaushal Uri made a business of Rs. 245 crores. 

4. Bharat 

Salman Khan starrer Bharat managed to secure its position in the top 5 highest-grossing movies of the year by collecting Rs. 211 crores at the box office. 

5. Mission Mangal 

Based on ISRO’s Mars Orbiter Mission, Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal made Rs. 202 crores. 

6. Kesari 

 

Akshay Kumar yet again with Kesari made it big at the box office as the movie collected Rs.154 crores. 

7. Total Dhamaal 

The multi starrer comedy did fairly well at the box office as it managed to make a business of Rs. 154 crore. Directed, co-produced and written by Indra Kumar the movie is the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise. 

8. Chhichhore

 

Based on the lives of college friends Chhichhore successfully managed to win the hearts of many and crossed the 100 crore mark by collecting whopping Rs.152 crores. The movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput alongside Shraddha Kapoor. 

9. Super 30 

Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 which was based on the real-life of Anand Kumar, a mathematician from India was critically acclaimed and managed to make a business of Rs. 146 crore during its run on the screens.
