One of the world’s most prestigious award shows in advertising and design- The One Show has now announced the final deadline for making work submissions for its coveted Gold Pencil to be Friday, February 28, 2025.
Continuing its legacy in honouring ground-breaking creative ideas from across the world, the Gold Pencil continues to be regarded as one of the top honours in the creative industry for both- Agencies and Advertisers for over 50 years now.
Keeping up with changing times, The One Show continues to evolve with new categories being introduced each year. Hence, this time around, The One Show 2025 introduces 3 key updates to disciplines including ‘CMO Pencil’, and ‘Creative Effectiveness’. Furthermore, ‘Creative Use of Artificial Intelligence discipline’ has been introduced in 2025.
That said, the CMO Pencil discipline is now open to the entire industry as an enterable category. The Creative Effectiveness discipline that recognizes bold creative work that produced a measurable impact in meeting defined business objectives and played a key role in achieving a brand’s purpose will now require a significantly increased level of entry detail regarding insights, strategy, and results.
The new discipline, Creative Use of Artificial Intelligence discipline celebrates the partnership between human creativity and this emerging technology in the evolution of creative work and process.
The first round of judging will be completed by March 2025, and shortlisted entries will advance to the second round and will be judged between March and April 2025.
The shortlists hereafter will be presented to the Juries for final discussions to determine the Finalists who go on to win Pencils or be announced as Merit winners.
Annually produced by The One Club for Creativity, The One Show celebratory gala will take place on May 16, 2025 in New York City.
