After being associated with Unacademy for more than three-and-a-half years, of which he spent the last more than one-and-a-half years working as the edtech company’s Partner and Chief Marketing Officer, and then being on a work hiatus of one year, Karan Shroff has launched LightFury Games.
Commenting on the launch of his new venture, Shroff, Co-Founder and CEO, LightFury Games mentioned that the company intends to build ‘high quality’ and ‘cutting edge’ AAA game titles out of India.
Prior to taking the entrepreneurial route, he served across various roles such as Partner, Chief Marketing Officer and VP-Marketing in his more than three-and-a-half years stint at Unacademy.
Before joining the ed tech company as VP- Marketing in September 2019, Shroff was the Head of Brand Marketing at Xiaomi India for more than four years, starting July 2015.
From May 2013 to June 2015, he was the Manager- Marketing and Events at Herbalife International India; Manager Events at Bertelsmann from September 2012 to April 2013; and Manager- Events at Wizcraft International Entertainment from August 2010 to August 2012.
He launched his first venture, Pixies Events, as Co-Founder in February 2008.
