Django, a next-generation creative agency, has taken on the creative digital mandate for Khukri Rum, Nepal’s most celebrated spirit, as the brand strengthens its presence in India.
With a heritage of over six decades, Khukri Rum has become a national symbol of Nepal, recognised for its smooth blends and Himalayan character. Exported to more than 12 countries, the brand’s entry into India marks a significant step in its global expansion and places it in one of the world’s most dynamic spirits markets.
As Khukri’s creative partner, Django will oversee the brand’s digital strategy, social media presence, creative storytelling, and influencer collaborations. The agency will focus on enhancing Khukri’s visibility in India and connecting the brand with a new generation of rum drinkers.
The partnership signifies a milestone for both Django and Khukri Rum, combining heritage with modern storytelling to introduce Indian audiences to the “true spirit of the Himalayas.”
Aashay Shah, Co-founder at Django, said, “It’s not every day that you get to work with a brand that has a legacy of over 60 years. Khukri has been celebrated around the world, and with its entry into India earlier this year, it’s finally time for India to experience the legacy. We’re excited to be part of that journey and bring that story to life for a new generation of rum drinkers in the country.”
Harsh Sinha, Country Director – India, MCKT Beverages , added, “We are thrilled to partner with Django as we begin this exciting new chapter in India. Khukri has always stood for authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep sense of pride — values that align with Django’s creative spirit. Together, we aim to bring alive the essence of the Himalayas for Indian audiences and celebrate a rum that carries six decades of legacy in every drop.”
