Mirchi has appointed Chandan Das as Vice President & Business Director for Karnataka, giving him end-to-end P&L responsibility across five radio stations in the state. In this role, Das will focus on scaling platform-led growth across content, digital monetisation through MPing (Mirchi’s data-led audio and video monetisation platform), social media ecosystems, brand partnerships, and experiential activations.

Prior to joining Mirchi, Das served as Director – Digital & TV Revenue Generation (South) at JioStar from January to December 2025, leading monetisation of key assets including BigBoss, Star Parivar Awards, Hotstar originals, and TV channels’ inventories. He was elevated to the role of Associate Director in April 2025.

Before JioStar, Das spent over a decade at Disney Star in various leadership roles. From November 2023 to January 2025, he was Region Head – South, driving ad sales for Star Jalsha, Jalsha Movies, and Star Kiran channels. Between November 2022 and November 2023, he managed the South Region advertising business for Star Plus and Disney Kids channels with a portfolio exceeding 250 crore. Earlier, he held positions including Regional Head – East, Group Head – Hindi Movies and Bengali Regionals, and handled corporate accounts, managing portfolios ranging from Rs 60–100 crore annually.
Das began his media career with HT Media Assistant Manager, 2013–2014 and later worked with Info Edge India Ltd Assistant Manager/Sr. Executive, 2012–2013 and Bharti AXA Life Insurance Recruitment Officer, 2008–2009.
