The Government of India has appointed new Secretaries across multiple Ministries and Departments, marking a fresh round of senior-level administrative changes.
Chanchal Kumar, a 1992 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He has taken over from Sanjay Jaju, who has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
In other appointments, Bhuvnesh Kumar has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, while Srivatsa Krishna has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Rohit Kansal has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Rural Development.
The appointments have been part of a broader administrative reshuffle across ministries and departments.
