Set against the familiar backdrop of a post-match press conference, the ad opens with Venkatesh Iyer fielding questions from journalists.
When one reporter asks, “What to do about credit card bills and loans?”, Iyer delivers a witty and impactful response: “Credit card bills? BillCut kiya kya?”
The moment transitions to BillCut’s co-founder, Tanish Sharrma, who appears in the ad to break down the platform’s offering, helping customers convert high-interest debts into manageable EMIs with significantly lower interest rates.
The approach aims to provide instant relief and enable long-term financial control.
“Millions of Indians are struggling silently with rising interest rates and minimum dues that never seem to end,” said Tanish Sharrma, Co-founder of BillCut. “BillCut is here to offer a smarter, transparent alternative. With Venkatesh Iyer on board, we’re hoping to make financial wellness as much a part of daily life as cricket.”
Echoing the sentiment, co-founder Sachin Mandon added, “Our vision is to simplify financial relief and make it accessible to every individual burdened by high-interest debt. This campaign is about sparking awareness and delivering a real solution. Venkatesh Iyer’s presence will help normalise conversations around personal finance.”
Iyer, who brings both star power and relatability, shared his motivation for joining the campaign: “As a cricketer, I know how important it is to stay in control under pressure—and that’s exactly what BillCut helps people do with their finances. I’m proud to be associated with a platform that’s changing the game for so many Indians dealing with debt. If there’s a smarter way to manage your money, why not ask—‘BillCut kiya kya?’”
