Bigg Boss Malayalam Season seven opened strong on JioHotstar, recording 12.6 crore minutes of cumulative watch time over the launch weekend, a 225% increase over previous seasons. Hosted by Mohanlal, the season began with notable viewer engagement driven by new interactive features.
JioHotstar has introduced live chats, polls, behind-the-scenes content, a 24/7 live feed, and a dedicated Fan Zone. These additions have increased audience participation and contributed to the show’s broader reach, according to network data.
As per the platform, Connected TV (CTV) contributed 30% of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season seven’s opening watch time, a 154% increase over the past two seasons, pointing to a shift toward large-screen, immersive viewing.
