Atique Kazi has announced his exit from WPP Media, bringing to a close a 13-year association with the network where he has held multiple senior leadership roles across digital, performance, data, programmatic and commerce. He has most recently served as President – eCommerce, Performance and Digital Products at GroupM, where he has led large-scale capability building and product-led growth initiatives across markets.
Kazi has shared the update via a LinkedIn post, marking the end of what he has described as a significant professional chapter and signalling his intent to explore new opportunities and challenges ahead.
Prior to this exit, Kazi has served as President – eCommerce, Performance and Digital Products at GroupM from August 2021 to December 2024, based in India. Before that, he has spent over eight years at Xaxis, where he has held the role of Vice President – New Business from November 2018 to August 2021 in Singapore, and earlier served as Managing Director, India, from August 2013 to October 2018.
His earlier experience includes close to three years at Yahoo!, where he has worked as Head of Planning, Sales Strategy and Y! Studio EMEA – Emerging Markets from July 2011 to April 2013, and as Head of Media Account Management – Expansion Markets – EMEA from June 2010 to June 2011, based in the UK.
He has also worked with The Economist as Regional Online Manager – Middle East Africa from June 2008 to September 2009 in Dubai, Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India) as Assistant Manager – Online Partnerships from September 2006 to April 2008 in Mumbai, JVC – Oasis Enterprises as Advertising and Sales Promotion Manager from April 2005 to June 2006 in Dubai, and began his career at 3 Hutchison Whampoa as Team Sales Coach from January 2003 to April 2005 in Mumbai.
