KFC India has recently launched an ad campaign for their new range of Value Burgers. The ad features the superstar Anil Kapoor who is seen taking a subtle dig at KFC‘s nemesis, McDonald’s.
Conceptualized by Ogilvy & Mather, the ad shows Anil Kapoor standing in disbelief with a burger in his hand to which he claims ‘Agar ye bun Tikki burger hai, toh main Sonam Kapoor hoon, Moochon ke sath’. He is then seen with KFC’s Colonel Sanders taking a bite into the new Value Burgers and reinstating his belief in burgers.
Moksh Chopra, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC India, said that with the new range of Value Burgers, KFC is striving to get their consumers closer to the real and authentic taste of burgers. And with a value proposition starting at just Rs 69, these burgers are for anyone and everyone who’s craving a quick burger bite.
“KFC is known for its legendary burgers. Just like the legendary acting prowess of Anil Kapoor — who is known across the country for his portrayal of some memorable characters and blockbuster films, making him a great choice for launching the Value Burgers’ campaign. So, don’t miss a KFC exclusive on how Anil Kapoor gets his burger illusions shattered, only to be restored with the new range of Value Burgers”, Moksh stated.
In an interview, Anil Kapoor shared his thoughts of being a part of the ad campaign. He said that his favorite kind of burgers are just like the new range by KFC — with real chicken and veg fillets at their crispiest best, delectable sauces and all coming together in a soft bun. He further informed that the KFC range is amazing not just for its taste but also for the nominal price they come for.
