Amagi, a leader in cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and streaming TV, has announced the launch of Amagi Smart Scheduler — an AI-powered content scheduling solution designed to transform how media companies program their channels.
Built on Argoid’s AI scheduling platform, the Smart Scheduler leverages Machine Learning (ML) and automation to simplify and optimize the traditionally manual and time-consuming task of content scheduling. The tool is designed to help content teams enhance operational efficiency, drive audience engagement, and increase monetization across platforms.
The solution features two intelligent scheduling modes:
- Fully Automated Mode: Uses ML models trained on historical viewership data, content affinity, and audience trends to generate an optimized schedule with a single click.
- Rules-Based Automation Mode: Allows content teams to define custom scheduling rules and preferences while factoring in viewership data and other performance metrics.
In both modes, editorial oversight remains intact, enabling teams to review, refine, and adjust schedules as needed.
By automating schedule creation using insights from content performance, metadata, social signals, and engagement trends, Amagi Smart Scheduler enables media companies to scale programming across multiple channels without compromising quality or control.
The launch follows Amagi’s acquisition of Argoid AI, aimed at accelerating AI innovation in the media and entertainment industry. Amagi Smart Scheduler is one of the first commercial products built on Argoid’s technology stack and is now generally available to clients.
