Aditya Swaminathan has stepped down from the position of Vice President- Sales, Strategy, Partnerships, and Marketing at Paytm Ads.
He took to LinkedIn to announce the same and mentioned, “Today, I wrap up my journey with Paytm Ads — an experience that’s been nothing short of an entrepreneurial adventure. When I joined back in 2019, I had the opportunity to build an incredible team of rockstars who gave their all to passionately drive the business forward over the past five years.”
Further, he wrote, “On a personal level, I transitioned from a core sales leadership role to a broader strategic position, where I oversaw multiple business functions, envisioned future partnerships, drove marketing initiatives, and established the Center of Excellence charter. I remain grateful to the leadership of Praveen Sharma and Sameer Kapoor for the opportunities they provided for my growth. So, what’s next? A well-deserved break after ~15 years of building strong Adtech businesses.”
He joined Paytm Ads in December 2019 as General Manager and Head of Sales (Performance Verticals), a position he held for over a year, until October 2021. After that, in October 2021, he was promoted to the role of Associate Vice President – Sales and Strategy, a position he held until March 2023. Later, in April 2023, he was elevated to the role of Vice President – Sales, Strategy, Partnerships, and Marketing.
Currently, he is also Council Member- Data+ Martech, E-commerce at MMA APAC.
From June 2017 to December 2019, he was associated with Flipkart as Senior Manager- Brand Ads.
Before this, he was associated with Affle as Associate Director- Platforms and Sales (South East Asia), from May 2015 to June 2017. He initially joined the company in May 2012 as Group Sales Manager- West and South and held the role until May 2015.
Between January 2010 to May 2012, Swaminathan worked as Senior Business Consultant at Encyclomedia Solutions LLP. In the past, he was also associated with Development Credit Bank as Customer Service Executive from June 2009 to January 2010.
