How Brands Celebrated Mother’s Day This Year

8th May 2022 will be celebrated as Mother’s Day, and it is around this day, that brands go all over, wishing mother’s and celebrating motherhood, in various ways. This year’s advertisement campaigns around the theme are reflective, deliver profound messages and highlight what a difficult journey motherhood is.

Let’s check a few campaigns on Mother’s Day, this year.

1. iD #MadeWithLove

The ad shows a wheelchair-bound mother who is unable to come to terms with her condition, urging her pregnant daughter to eat for the sake of her unborn child, thereby taking care of herself. It is how her daughter makes her realize, that she needs to take care and eat herself too, that forms the premise of the ad. With a soulful and captivating background score, the ad sure gets us emotional.

2. Shopper’s Stop #CoolMom

Shoppers Stop released a digital campaign this year, that aims at changing the portrayal of a Mother who is always perceived to be strict and traditional, to being the one who adopts a laissez-faire and easy-going attitude to connect with the younger generation.

3. Panasonic#HealthyMomsForHealthyHomes

Panasonic’s campaign this year makes a point on how a Mother’s health and comfort, is crucial to a family’s well-being, especially in case of new mom’s, who are most sleep-deprived at that stage. The campaign urges families to include mother care as a part of child care, to ensure happiness for the entire family.

4. Mylo- ‘Mom CEOs- Chief Everything Officer’

Mylo, is an online platform for expecting moms and new mothers. And this year, their Mother’s Day campaign shows what a herculean task motherhood is, which a mother carries out without any expectation. How a mother is rightly the CEO-Chief Everything Officer in every family members’ life, and how important it is to make her feel important and loved, by contributing in her daily routine, that makes her a full-time working woman. One of the most introspective ad campaigns this year!

5. Sugar Cosmetics#MaaKoNazarNaLage

Mothers are selfless, powerful souls who see their biggest achievement in the success of their kids. And it is on the basis of this idea, that Sugar Cosmetics plan to deliver personalized letters to 1000 popular influencers, appreciating their work and highlighting the role played by their mother’s in their journey, profusely thanking them for the same. The campaign starts on 8th May 2022.

6. Licious- Khane Ke Bahane

A fun and feel-good repartee between a mother and daughter forms the crux of the ad campaign by D2C Licious this year. Catching up with mom can be fun!

7. PregaNews #SheIsPerfectlyImperfect

The ad highlights how inhumane it is to expect a mother to be perfect all the time. And that a mother is a mother with all her imperfection, and nothing less than that. Making her feel guilty will just add to her woes and misery, making her feel less of herself, and understanding her choices, priorities and helping her, will go a long way in making everyone’s life easier.

8. Tanishq- ‘The Interview’

Their campaign for the ‘leader in every mother’, is this year’s most reflective and introspective ad. The ad highlights how a gap in work experience for a lady due to a maternity break, is not a disadvantage, but a learning and training experience, for life.
