The entertainment industry is one of the worst-hit industries by COVID-19 pandemic because shoots have been canceled for over 2 months now. Although, the consumption of content has increased during the lockdown period, still upcoming movies and shows are in a difficult state to resume work.
To discuss the future of shoots and how everything will take place, TV producers recently had a virtual meet with CM Uddhav Thackeray. The discussion included popular names like Ekta Kapoor, JD Majethia, NP Singh, Puneet Goenka, Rahul Joshi, Madhavan, Puneet Mishra, Abhishek Rege, Deepak Dhar, Adesh Bandekar, Sanjay Mukherjeei, Vikas Gharelu and Sudhir Naik.
It has been revealed that TV producers and broadcasters shared concerns about their business and job losses with the CM. They also talked about the possibilities of re-starting operations.
Ekta Kapoor even took to Twitter and shared insight into the meeting while adding a screenshot of the video call. She wrote, “We had a very positive meeting of broadcasters & television producers with the CM of Maharashtra Shri Uddhav Thakrey (sic).”

Informing about the meeting, Ekta wrote, “We shared concerns of our businesses and job losses with viewers fatigue of reruns and wishes to start shooting with utmost cares of safety and SOPs. He quickly addressed all issues, asked his team to initiate a committee and workout the possibilities to start work soon (sic).”
