ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is proving to be a great platform for brands to advertise themselves. We are witnessing some of the best campaigns as brands are coming up with some creative anthems. Let’s have a look at some:

Taking a dig at all these brands launching anthems during the World Cup, OLA has launched a campaign called ‘Anti-anthem’.
The anthem starts with lines “Cricket ka time hai, sabka anthem ready hai. Yeh raha apna, same same, but different hai…” mocking other brands. As every brand is trying to attract audience with offers to reach England and watch the world cup, Ola believes that people can choose you wherever they want to. Also, this is a great example of ambush marketing as Ola’s rival Uber has also launched an anthem called ‘Way-Yo’ with a tagline ‘Uber Karo World Cup Chalo’.
Commenting about this campaign, Amod Dani, ECD, Leo Burnett Orchard, said in a press conference
“This World Cup, we’ve seen many brands come up with some or the other cricket/World Cup-related promotion. So what does Ola, India’s mobility expert, do during this season to ride the cricket wave? Simple: Nothing! What do people want most during the World Cup? To catch the game, at their home, their favourite restaurant, with their friends and families. So when everyone else came up with cricket and World Cup-related promotions, Ola simply said we will do what we do best, we will #GetYouThere.”
