Waiter Serves Wine Worth Rs 3.15 Lakh By Mistake, Restaurant’s Reply Wins Hearts

Business is not only about selling a quality product or service to a particular group of people. For a brand to become successful, there are multiple more factors like emotional connection with the customers, solving difficult situations like a mistake from staff in a calm manner and so on.

A popular restaurant Hawksmoor Manchester, in Manchester is making headlines for the way it treated the mistake of one of its waiter.

What happened is that someone ordered a normal wine to the waiter but mistakenly, he served them one of the finest and most expensive wines which cost £4,500 (Rs 3.15 lakh). Normally, what happens in such situations is that the waiter gets blamed and sometimes he/she can even lose the job.

But what earned respect for the restaurant is the way the managers responded. “To the customer who accidentally got given a bottle of Chateau Le Pin Pomerol 2001, which is £4500 on our menu, last night – hope you enjoyed your evening! To the member of staff who accidentally gave it away, chin up! One-off mistakes happen and we love you anyway.” the restaurant’s official account tweeted.

The restaurant owners even posted the photo of the two bottles.

This caught the attention of netizens and the reply has made the restaurant go viral on the internet.

Very lovely responsive reaction by the management and the way of treatment is amazing…. once, I will fly over to Manchester, apparently, here is the place that I'd spend for a dinner….. 🙂

This is the sign of a great company. Able to laugh at “mistakes”, able to understand they happen, able to see through it all and still recognise great staff and great work.

This is how you win customers and public backing. 😎👍👏

This proves that, No matter how evil the world gets, any brand can easily get the attention of people by acting wisely with the staff. A lesson companies need to learn.
