Samaira Mehta, a 10-year-old young girl born and brought up in Silicon Valley is currently the CEO of the company named CorderBunnyz which has gained her a lot of recognition. CoderBunnyz is a board game that helps children to learn to code the easy way.

Samaira Mehta

Her love for coding poured out at 8 when she created the CoderBunnyz game. Not only this, she had learned to code at the age of 6 years old when other children of this age are busy in playing different games, she was the one who thought of creating it to help others play and learn the concepts of coding the easy way.

Her brilliant programming work has earned her a star image in Silicon Valley and she has also landed up as a key speaker in a number of conferences and events held in the region. She has got a huge fan following and even got Google and Microsoft on her admiring base.

Her success story

Samaira was recently featured in a video that titled- ‘the real-life Powerpuff girls’ which helped her attract several marketers to research more facts about her and bring her into the limelight. In the Think Tank Learning’s Pitchfest held in 2016, she stood at the second place and won $2,500 for creating the board game to aid other kids in learning the art of coding. After this, her success has been a piece of cake.

She initially started selling her board game on Amazon so that she could reach out to the audience at a large scale. Over one year has passed and she proudly boasts about selling nearly 1,000 boxes which have a worth of $35,000 and now this enthusiastic girl is all set to define new records.

Her father Rakesh Mehta, who is an Engineer in Tech-giant Intel who also happens to be an alum of Oracle and Sun Microsystems guided her throughout this journey. He and Samaira together planned an outstanding marketing plan that helped them grab the attention of people and generated such high sales in a yearlong endeavor. This young mind has used the game as a useful tool to conduct workshops for other children and her thoughts don’t end here.

She came up with an Idea to launch an initiative named Yes, 1 Billion Kids Can Code that paved way further to help her donate a few boxes to different schools where she taught children the way to play and learn to code the easier, eventually making them a master at the game itself.

Since early-2018, she has been able to connect with 106 schools and made a significant hike after that. Recently she has also come up with a sequel to her game that makes use of powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) to teach kids how to code and is called CoderMindz. She and her brother, Aadit Mehta who is just 6 years old developed this AI game so that other children can learn the basic concepts of AI.

Hosting a Workshop with Google & Microsoft

The success of the game made her earn the star image and she has already conducted 60 Workshops mentoring over 2000 kids. Even Google organized a series of sessions at their Headquarters in Mountain View, California. While Stacy Sullivan, Google’s chief culture officer asked her to join Google after she grows up. No wonder Samaira impressed them to such an extent that they even selected her as a keynote speaker at a Diversity in Tech conference which was held in August at Google Launchpad, San Fransisco. She was also a part of Girls’ Festival sponsored by World Wide Women and a Microsoft’s event too.
