Mumbai-based The Experience Edit has launched as an immersive experience IP company focused on creating, owning and scaling original live experience formats.
Founded by Khushbu Vaid, Riyaz Sayed and Sapangeet Rajwant, the company has positioned itself around developing proprietary live experience formats across categories including festivals, immersive pop-up experiences, cultural journeys, wellness retreats, culinary experiences and intimate gatherings.
The company has stated that its focus has been on building intellectual property-led experience formats rather than event execution. According to the founders, these formats have been designed with scalability, portability and long-term ownership in mind.
The founders have collectively brought experience across creative direction, live experiences, production, operations and business strategy. The company has been established in response to growing demand for immersive and experiential formats across entertainment, culture, wellness and lifestyle sectors.
The Experience Edit has launched with plans to build and expand experience-led intellectual properties from India for domestic and international audiences.
Riyaz Sayed, Co-Founder, said, “The experience economy is one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, yet ownable IP within it remains almost nonexistent. Most players are focused on delivery. We are focused on ownership. When you build an experience with the discipline of a format, you are not creating an event, you are creating an asset.”
Khushbu Vaid, Co-Founder, said, “The best experiences don’t feel produced. They feel inevitable, like someone understood exactly what you needed before you did. That is the standard we hold ourselves to. Not ‘did it run smoothly?’ but ‘did it change something in them?’”
Sapangeet Rajwant, Co-Founder, said, “There is no shortage of events in the world. There is a deep shortage of experiences that truly stay with people. We built The Experience Edit because we believe the world is ready for a new category: experience IPs that originate from India and belong everywhere.”
