The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) has marked its 80th anniversary and has planned a celebration on May 19, 2026, bringing together industry leaders across the advertising ecosystem. The event has been set to highlight the association’s role in shaping India’s advertising landscape over the decades.
The celebration has included the presence of Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as Chief Guest. He has been scheduled to address the gathering and has been set to felicitate organisations that have been members of AAAI for over 50 years.
Founded in 1945, AAAI has served as an industry body representing advertising agencies in India. It has worked towards setting standards, enabling collaboration across agencies, media, and advertisers, and engaging with government and regulatory bodies. The association has also conducted initiatives to support talent development and has contributed to aligning a previously fragmented ecosystem.
The milestone has brought together stakeholders across traditional and digital media, including print, radio, television, and emerging digital platforms. AAAI has continued to focus on supporting agencies in adapting to changes in the media and marketing landscape.
