Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Harsh Deep Chhabra as Head – Strategy & New Business, strengthening its focus on long-term growth and transformation. In his new role, Chhabra will report to Gaurav Banerjee, Managing Director and CEO, and collaborate closely with the leadership team to define SPNI’s strategic roadmap.
His mandate includes driving enterprise-wide priorities, unlocking new revenue streams, and identifying growth opportunities in an increasingly dynamic media landscape. He will work across business units to deliver high-impact initiatives aimed at accelerating revenue growth while improving operational efficiency. Additionally, he will lead the evaluation and incubation of new business opportunities aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
Chhabra brings over 20 years of experience spanning media, advertising, and digital ecosystems. He joins from Godrej Consumer Products Limited, where he served as Global Media Head, spearheading integrated media strategies and scaling brand narratives globally.
Earlier, he was Senior Vice President at Mindshare (part of GroupM), where he led the Unilever business in South Asia, playing a key role in strengthening client partnerships and driving growth.
His career also includes stints with major media organisations such as Zee Entertainment, Turner International, and Radio City, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the media value chain. His expertise spans media planning and buying, account management, analytics, advertising sales, marketing, and investor relations, alongside leading data-driven digital initiatives focused on measurable business impact.
