MiQ has acquired Rocket Lab, a mobile app growth specialist, in a move designed to bolster its in-app capabilities and deepen its footprint in high-growth markets.
The deal brings together Rocket Lab’s expertise in mobile user acquisition and engagement with MiQ’s existing omnichannel advertising platform, creating an end-to-end solution for brands across all media channels.
Rocket Lab, which has built a strong regional presence across Latin America will operate as an independent business unit within MiQ. Juan Echavarria Coll will remain at the helm as CEO, with no changes planned to the organizational structure of either company.
For MiQ, the strategic rationale centers on mobile. As consumer behavior continues to shift toward mobile-first experiences, the acquisition gives the company a stronger foothold in performance-driven app marketing. Rocket Lab’s capabilities will also be integrated into Sigma, MiQ’s AI-powered operating system, feeding critical mobile and regional data into a signals ecosystem the company says processes 700 trillion data points.
The acquisition is the second major move by MiQ in quick succession, following its earlier purchase of Adsmovil, a deal that positioned the company as the leading independent programmatic player across Latin America. Beyond Latin America, MiQ says it will use the acquisition to support Rocket Lab’s expansion into Asia-Pacific, one of the company’s fastest-growing regions.
“This acquisition is a strategic step forward in our commitment to helping clients accelerate customer acquisition through smarter, data-driven marketing,” said Gurman Hundal, Co-Founder and Global CEO, MiQ. “By giving global brands and agencies access to our first mobile-app offering through Rocket Lab’s AI capabilities, we’ll deliver better performance that will continue to strengthen over time.”
He further added, “With Rocket Lab’s expertise, we can offer even more tailored solutions that drive real business outcomes, ensuring our clients stay ahead in an increasingly mobile and connected world. We will use Rocket Lab’s rich data and capabilities to unlock powerful new insights especially for those looking to grow in dynamic markets across Latin America and Asia.”
“Combining our mobile strategy with MiQ’s AI-powered technology reinforces our positioning as an App Growth Hub, bringing unparalleled strength to our multisolutions ecosystem and accelerating how brands scale their apps globally,” said Juan Echavarria Coll, Founder and CEO of Rocket Lab.
