Anurag Saxena has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer at VinFast Auto India. In this role, he has been responsible for driving dealer network expansion, strengthening market penetration strategies, and supporting the company’s operational growth as it expands its presence in the Indian automotive market.
Saxena has shared the update about his new role on LinkedIn, expressing enthusiasm about joining VinFast Auto India and contributing to the evolving automotive landscape in the country.
Prior to this, Saxena has served at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India for nearly 23 years across multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Operating Officer from April 2024 to February 2026 in Gurugram, where he led core business functions across six divisions including business development, product strategy, marketing, electrification, network expansion, and sales digitisation. Between April 2021 and March 2024, he held the role of Regional Business Head (General Manager) – North Region, overseeing operations across Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, from April 2016 to March 2021, he worked as Regional Business Head (Deputy General Manager) – Central Region based in Noida, managing operations across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
From April 2011 to March 2016, Saxena served as Department Head (Assistant General Manager) – Business and Product Planning and Network Development in Gurugram, where he worked on strategic initiatives including dealer management systems, pre-owned vehicle platforms and retail finance partnerships. Prior to that, he was Zonal Manager for East, Gujarat and Maharashtra from April 2007 to March 2011, based in Pune, overseeing regional sales and product launches. He began his career at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India as a Sales Executive between April 2003 and March 2007, handling sales operations across regions including UP-West, Mumbai and Pune.
Before joining Honda, Saxena worked as Sales Executive – International Market (USA and Europe) at Cosmo Ferrites from June 2001 to April 2003 in New Delhi, where he was involved in expanding the company’s export market for ferrite cores across the US and European regions.
