JioHotstar Elevates Richa Parekh To Senior Director Of Marketing

With over a decade of experience across digital marketing, performance marketing, and brand strategy, Richa Parekh has been elevated to Senior Director of Marketing at JioHotstar.

Richa Parekh has been elevated to Senior Director of Marketing at JioHotstar. In her new role, she will oversee digital marketing, paid and organic customer acquisition, and campaign strategy for the platform.

She Announced this move via a linkedin post.

Richa has been with JioHotstar since April 2022, initially serving as Digital Marketing Lead for 3 years 8 months. During this period, she launched Disney+ in 18 international markets, achieving 1 million subscriptions in the first year, increased revenue by 3X on high CAC platforms including Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and DV360, and established the company’s first in-house performance marketing team in India, improving operational efficiency by 35%.

From April 2019 to May 2022, she was Head – Digital Marketing at Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited. She led digital marketing for India’s fastest-growing standalone health insurance brand, handling campaigns like “Jump for Health,” “Activ Care,” and “Rakho Poora Khayaal” featuring Vidya Balan. She drove high-recall campaigns across multi-platform channels, achieving significant reach and engagement, including 45.2 million audio and 26.7 million+ visual impressions for #ABHIKaro.

Between November 2016 and March 2019, she was Digital Marketing Director at iProspect, managing marketing strategies for almost 50% of key clients in Mumbai. She increased company revenue by 2.5X through upselling and cross-selling multiple digital channels, and led the digital marketing centre of excellence. She also drove campaigns for Kotak 811, managing the branding and customer acquisition journey end to end.

Earlier, she served as Digital Marketing Manager at Rediff.com from January 2013 to October 2016, leading India’s earliest internet company’s digital acquisition campaigns. She implemented social, search, display, mobile, and email marketing initiatives, achieving 300% higher sales via Facebook campaigns and optimizing new acquisition channels.

From September 2011 to October 2012, she was Digital Marketing Manager at Reload Media in Brisbane, Australia, developing SEO strategies and managing social media and website performance for over 70 clients across multiple industries.

She began her career at Performics India as Project Manager from July 2009 to February 2011, overseeing online marketing teams, media planning, and campaign strategy execution for Indian and international clients. She managed SEO, social media, and digital campaigns across various verticals, ensuring ROI maximization.

From June 2008 to June 2009, she worked as Account Manager at Performics India, handling digital marketing campaigns, website optimisation, client communication, and reporting for multiple clients.
