Dentsu India has appointed Rohit Potphode as Managing Partner- Sports, Gaming, Esports & Live Experiences, strengthening the agency’s focus on its Sports & Entertainment practice in India. In his new role, Potphode will report to Yosuke Murai, Head of India, Dentsu Sports & Entertainment, and will be responsible for driving strategies that connect brands with audiences through innovative experiences, delivering measurable business impact.
Potphode shared the update on LinkedIn, stating, “After 4 incredible years of growth, learning and amazing people, I am turning the page to a new chapter. I am thrilled to share that I have joined Dentsu India as Managing Partner – Sports, Gaming, Esports & Live Experience.”

Prior to joining Dentsu, Potphode has held senior leadership roles across India and Southeast Asia. He was President of Esports and Global Gaming Partnerships at JetSynthesys from September 2021 to May 2025. From February 2020 to November 2021, he served as Senior Director and Head of Advertising Sales and Digital Partnerships at A+E Networks in Singapore, leading multi-platform revenue growth and launching the HIVE gaming and esports initiative.
His earlier roles included Senior Director at Viacom SEA from Oct 2019 to Feb 2020, Senior Vice President at Red Card Global from January 2016 to May 2017, and multiple leadership positions at Viacom18, Times Network, Nimbus Communications, IMG, Ten Sports, MTV Networks, and Bennett Coleman & Co., spanning advertising sales, brand solutions, sponsorships, and business development across India and the region.
