Wow! Momo has introduced a gluten-free momos, developed using a blend of quinoa and chickpeas. With this launch, the brand aims to cater to consumers with dietary restrictions, particularly those avoiding gluten, while maintaining familiarity with a popular street food.
To support the launch, the brand has released a digital campaign featuring chef Ranveer Brar. The film emphasizes the importance of taste alongside dietary considerations. Brar noted that while innovation in food is important, it must deliver on flavour and texture, which the gluten-free momos manage to achieve.
The gluten-free offering is part of Wow! Momo’s broader strategy to expand its health-focused product line, as it looks to address changing dietary preferences and a growing demand for more inclusive food options. According to a recent research report, India’s gluten-free food and beverage market is valued at USD 22.25 million and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.93%, as per the brand.
The new product will initially be available across 11 major metropolitan cities, with future plans to expand into Wow! Momo’s ready-to-eat packaged foods segment, the company added.
