Colors Kannada has introduced a new visual identity as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, drawing on Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage. The rebrand incorporates updated colours, signature motifs, and redesigned on-air packaging — all rooted in symbols of strength, tradition, and performance.
The new design pays homage to three cultural icons: the Gandabherunda, a two-headed bird and royal emblem of the Mysore Kingdom; the Elephant, representing wisdom and the grandeur of Karnataka’s temple architecture and festivals; and Yakshagana, the state’s iconic theatrical art form. These elements are intended to reflect the channel’s values of storytelling, resilience, and connection to its audience.
The rebrand marks a shift in the channel’s visual language while maintaining its commitment to content grounded in regional identity. Each design element has been positioned to reflect Karnataka’s mythology and its modern-day expression.
Colors Kannada said the new look is both a tribute to its legacy and a visual articulation of its evolution in the Kannada entertainment space.
“Colors Kannada has always belonged to the people of Karnataka and our new identity is an ode to that bond. As we step into a new decade, this reimagining reflects our pride in where we come from and our promise to stay rooted even as we evolve. It honours our shared cultural legacy and embraces the creative energy of the present,” said a JioStar spokesperson.
