Sumeet Narang To Get President- Marketing Role At Bajaj Auto; Deepika Warrier To Part Ways

Bajaj Auto, one of India’s leading manufacturers of bikes, quadricycles and electric three wheelers, is elevating its old hand Sumeet Narang from the position of President and Head- Probiking (KTM and Triumph) to the role of President- Marketing.

This development coincides with the exit of Bajaj Auto’s Head of Marketing Deepika Warrier, who has decided to move on due to personal reasons and will be a part of the auto company till the end of this month.

Having said that, Narang had joined Bajaj Auto as VP-Marketing (Motorcycles) is February 2014 and was elevated to the role of VP and BU Head- Urbanite (EV) in July 2018 and President and BU Head- Probiking (KTM and Triumph) a year later in April 2019.

Before Bajaj Auto, he was associated with Samsung Electronics for a period of over two years, starting February 2012; with Aircel Telecom from March 2010 to February 2012; CrystalEyes Marketing Consulting from August 2009 to March 2010; Procter & Gamble from January 2000 to August 2009 and Coca Cola India from June 1998 to January 2000.

Warrier, on the other hand, served as Diageo India’s Chief Marketing Officer for over three years before joining Bajaj Auto as Head of Marketing in August 2023.

That being said, prior to Diageo India, she was associated with NourishCo Beverages (a PepsiCo- Tata Global Beverages JV) as CEO and MD from April 2019 to July 2020; VP-Nutrition Category at PepsiCo India from April 2016 to December 2018; PepsiCola International Dubai from January 2014 to March 2016 and PepsiCo India from 2007 to 2010.
