Durex Trolled England For Getting Out Of FIFA World Cup

Durex knows how to make the best of any popular moment on social media. The FIFA World Cup is about to end now as France and Croatia will clash with each other in the finals on 15th July.
Croatia has secured a place in the finals after defeating England in by 2-1 in the semi-final and it was a big shock for England. When England fans were sure about their team to reach finals and win the world cup after it defeated Sweden.

England’s former footballer David Beckham had posted a video saying, ‘it’s coming home’. By ‘it’s coming home’, he meant that the World Cup is coming home. You can check this video below:


This boosted the sense of belief among football fans in England and everyone including former players and sports analysts were sure that England would easily defeat Croatia in semi-finals. But as the game of football is full of ups and downs, the result of semi-final surprised everyone as Croatia defeated England by 2-1 and will now be playing the much-awaited final match.

This flooded social media with memes regarding “it’s coming home”. Popular contraceptive brand Durex was also quick to recognise the chance of trolling England by sharing a poster on social media in which it took a dig at “it’s coming home” by stating “you can always… come home, come late”.
This was posted on Twitter by the official handle of Durex India with a caption, “Never mind lads. #CROENG” and since then, it has been getting viral.

Users on Twitter also expressed their reactions on England’s loss and replied to this tweet.
