Federal Bank has onboarded Krishnan Venkat Subramanian (KVS Manian) as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a period of three years.
His appointment comes as Shyam Srinivasan retired as MD and CEO of the bank after 14 years, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Before this, Manian was associated with Kotak Mahindra Bank for over three decades. He joined the bank as Group Head- Consumer Banking in 1994. In this role, he was heading consumer banking and was responsible for the branch banking, and retail liability business. Further, he was also responsible for consumer loan products like home loans, business loans, credit cards, MSME working capital loans, and more.
Later, he was elevated to President- Corporate and Investment Bank in April 2014. In this capacity, he was spearheading the businesses of investment banking, institutional equities in the subsidiaries, subsidiary NBFCs in corporate real estate, infrastructure, and others.
After this, he was promoted to the role of Whole Time Director- Corporate, Institutional, Investment Banking, and Wealth Management in November 2019. Subsequently, he served as Joint Managing Director from March 2024 to April 2024.
