Microblogging platform Twitter has become a popular platform for sharing views about brands. Some users are demanding to boycott Samsung is the reason is very foolish. Users initiated the movement by posting an alleged scene from American TV show Quantico showing the killer wearing a Rudraksha Mala.

Terrorists are clear f their Jihad motives. It's their apologists who deny it and find excuses. Some go to the extent that it's all a conspiracy by Jews-America-Hindus. The latest is @priyankachopra pic.twitter.com/fXkFivBvl0

Wow..Madam @priyankachopra defames hindus with rudraksha who r planning a nuclear attack to blame pakistan in #Quantico
Wats the need to blame pakistan..Entire world knows sins of terrorist state. Shame on u 4 framing India 4 fame n money pic.twitter.com/WwTQEoDBs0

— Shraddha (@drshraddha16) June 6, 2018

I am shocked @priyankachopra would allow herself to be part of something as nonsensical as that. Even in realm of fiction and fantasy ‘Indian nationalists blowing up Manhattan’ is somebody’s brain needing immediate therapy. https://t.co/5l8oLSuDU7

After getting no response from Priyanka Chopra some decided to boycott Samsung. This is being done so that the Korean smartphone maker removes Priyanka Chopra as its brand ambassador in India.

This is the scene from Quantico where the terrorist is being shown with ‘Rudraksha’ & Priyanka Chopra had no objections with it. Now let’s #BoycottSamsung nation-wide until the remove her from brand ambassador post. pic.twitter.com/EJzWKFE66A

The same account with username Bhaiyyaji encouraged others to trend #BoycottSamsung.

Reply with #BoycottSamsung to this tweet if you as a Hindu are hurt because ‘Rudraksh’ is being portrayed as a symbol of Hindutva by Priyanka Chopra & Quantico! pic.twitter.com/R1PBGrnn4a

— Bhaiyyaji (@bhaiyyajispeaks) June 6, 2018

This flooded Twitter with thousands of similar tweets.

No one has right to mock hindutva

@priyankachopra mocked our religion this scene is offending me. I request everyone one to record their protest & tweet with #BoycottSamsung
No one has right to mock hindutva. Hello @Samsung @SamsungMobile remove her or we will boycott your products.

3. @Ra_THORe sir please ensure that this episode must be delete from everywhere. https://t.co/tAHoxjDXfz

This is not the first case in which brands have faced criticism for using celebrities in their ads. Earlier, Snapdeal faced similar backlash after Amir Khan announced that he and his wife did not want to live in India. Snapdeal replied by not renewing their contract with Amir Khan.

Recently, Swara Bhaskar was criticised for her Hinduphobic campaign and Twitter users made #BoycottAmazon one of the top-trending hashtags which made Amazon India to delete the tweet endorsing Swara.
