7 Brands Which Made Great Use Of Amitabh Bachchan For Advertisement Campaigns

Celebrities play an important role in the marketing campaigns of big brands. These brands rely heavily on the image of celebrities who are endorsing their products. Amitabh Bachchan has been the biggest Bollywood icon from years and is part of some of the biggest brands advertisements, even some government-related projects chose him due to the personality and the following he has. Take a look at some of the famous advertisements done by Amitabh Bachchan.

1. Gujarat Tourism

This advertisement was very popular and showed the culture and religious form of Gujrat, the campaign named “Khushbu Gujrat Ki” for which this ad was made won the National Tourism Award for 2011-12. A famous slogan from this ad was ‘Breathe in a bit of Gujarat’.

2. Cadbury

Cadbury Dairy Milk is very popular due to its advertisements, and choosing Mr.Bachchan for the promotion was a good idea, Cadbury tried to show the love and purity they use in their work. The famous ads ‘Pappu Paas Ho Gaya’ and ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye’ featured Amitabh Bachchan.

3. Pepsi

From “oye bubbly” to “Yeh Dil Maange More” Amitabh appeared in many Pepsi commercials some of which involving Sachin and Arshad Warsi.

4. Polio

Amitabh Bachchan also showed his support for increasing knowledge about polio in India when he became the brand ambassador of Polio UNICEF campaign in 2005. This campaign was very successful as polio cases decreased in big numbers in short interval of time after this advertisement.

5. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance

ICICI chose Amitabh as their brand ambassador in 2011 in which he was featured in a number of ads showing the importance of life insurance for the whole family.

6. Parker

Amitabh Bachchan endorsed this brand in 2004 achieving great success, one of these ads also featured Genelia D’Souza in which she was seen taking the autograph of Big B with parker pen. This campaign tried to troll other brands by using lines such as ‘why carry a pen that is not Parker’.

7. Tatasky

Tata sky launched their ad campaign with Amitabh Bachchan in 2016 featuring him as a rap singer using lines ‘Yo Se, Yo Se’ for the promotion. This advertisement tried to show the needs of family members for the different television channels. Tata sky wanted to expand their users in the rural area through this campaign.
