17 New Entrants In LinkedIn’s Top 25 Best Places To Work In India, TCS Tops List

LinkedIn released a list of the 25 best places to work and grow careers in India. And IT Services company Tata Consultancy Services tops the list.

While many IT companies are laying off employees, TCS managed to clinch the title of being the best place to work in the country.

The IT giant is followed by Amazon and Morgan Stanley in second and third spots respectively.

Highlights of the Report

1. This year witnessed a plethora of e-sports and gaming companies make it to the list. For example, Dream11 bagged the 20th spot, while games 24×7 made it to the 24th spot on the list.

2. While IT companies dominated the list in the past years, this year’s list has been dominated by banking, financial, and fintech sector employers like Macquarie Group, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan Chase& Co, and the likes.

3. India, in recent years has become the third largest startup ecosystem, thereby revolutionizing business dynamics. The list this year, saw the entry of 17 companies make it to the top 25 List.

A notable example is that of the 10-min grocery delivery service Zepto, which was a part of the LinkedIn Top Startups List last year, and is 16th on the List Of Best Places To Work this year.

4. The list includes companies from various sectors from IT to quick commerce to banking.

5. Apart from ranking companies, the list shed light on the various skills and fields that are in demand and in the process of becoming indispensable. These include intelligence
(AI), robotics, electronics, software testing, computer security, commercial banking, financial accounting as well as growth strategies.

6. The city of Bengaluru emerged as the top location for these companies on the basis of location and hiring talent. Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Pune follow suit.

Methodology

LinkedIn ranked the said companies on the list based on data derived from the basis of eight elements- ability to advance; skills growth; company stability; external opportunity; company affinity; gender diversity; educational background and employee presence in the country.

Apart from these, companies must have had at least 500 employees as of December 31, 2022, in the country with an attrition rate of not more than 10%, to be eligible for the list.
