Owning a car has become a common part of modern lifestyle. People save money for years to buy a car and choosing a right car becomes very important because of its daily usage. Automotive industry is growing very fast and companies are launching new models for providing variety to the customers.

Companies know the mindset of buyers so they launch cars under different brands. You will be surprised to know that 54 popular car brands are owned by only 14 companies. Take a look at which brands are owned by which car maker.

Daimler sells cars under Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Detroit Diesel, Smart Automobile, Western Star, Freightliner, Thomas Built Buses, BharatBenz, Setra, MV Agusta and Mitsubishi Fuso. Also, it has shares in KAMAZ, Denza, and Beijing Automotive Group.
