The recent release of Hurun’s Global Rich List 2021 has moved India to the 3rd spot with 177 billionaires. There has been a whopping increase of 40 new billionaires since last year in the list. While Mukesh Ambani remains as the richest man in India there have been many other names that have also made the list but are not known to all.
Hyderabad witnessed 10 of its billionaire on the list and here are their names and net worth. The majority of them are from the pharmaceutical field and have made Hyderabad a potential hub in the sector.
Murali Divi
Murali Divi of Divi’s Laboratories is the richest person in Hyderabad with a net worth of Rs 54,100 crore. He ranked 20th in India and 385th worldwide.
PV Ramprasad Reddy
P.V. Ramprasad Reddy is an Indian businessman and co-founder of Aurobindo Pharma and has a net worth of Rs 22,600 crore. The family ranked at 56 in India and 1,096 worldwide.
B Parthasaradhi Reddy
B Parthasaradhi Reddy of Hetero Drugs was among the new entrants in the list from India with a net worth of Rs 16,000 crore. He has ranked at 83 in India and 1,609 globally.
K Satish Reddy
K Satish Reddy is the current Chairman of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and is ranked at 108 in India and 2,050 worldwide with a net worth of Rs 12,800 crore.
GV Prasad and G Anuradha
GV Prasad is the co-chairman and managing director of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and is married to Anuradha, the daughter of Kallam Anji Reddy, who is the founder of Dr. Reddy’s Labs. The duo is ranked at 133 in India and 2,238 globally, with a net worth of Rs 10,700 crore.
P Pitchi Reddy
PP Reddy is the Chairman of city-based infrastructure major Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited (MEIL). He is ranked at 134 in India and at 2,383 globally with a net worth of Rs 10,600 crore.
Rameswar Rao Jupally
Rameswar Rao Jupally is the founder-chairman of My Home Group of Companies, which is a Hyderabad, Telangana-based real estate company. He ranked at 138 in India and 2,383 globally with a net worth of Rs 10,500 crore.
