ZEE5 Joins Forces With Kyoorius Designyatra 2024 To Nurture Creativity For Second Consecutive Year

ZEE5, a homegrown video streaming platform and the OTT arm of ZEEL, has returned as the title sponsor of Kyoorius Designyatra 2024, for the second consecutive year.

The three-day event, held from September 26 to 28 in Goa, had offered a global platform for design and creative professionals across industries to showcase their work, collaborate, and celebrate artistic innovation.

At Kyoorius Designyatra 2024, ZEE5 has organised an experiential zone and workshop on Design, UI/UX, Product Ideation, and Creativity lead by Vatsal Chaoji, at the event that attracted a large audience. ZEE5’s Replay and Reimagine Contest, featuring movies ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ and ‘Gadar 2’, saw three young winners that showcased their creative prowess.

Names like Ambrish Arora (Founding Principal, Studio Lotus), Aaquib Wani (Founder and Director of Aaquib Wani Design), and Suresh Eriyat (Director of Studio Eeksaurus) also attended the event and imparted their expertise and vision, with a total of 22 speakers; coveted legends from the international circuit.

As per the company, Designyatra 2024 brought together global talent to reimagine the future of design. This year, ZEE5 partnered with the platform to deliver an interactive challenge, inviting designers to reimagine the posters of movies such as Gadar and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.

The theme, centred around reimagining cinematic classics, allowed participants to push creative boundaries and showcase their design excellence. The experience on-ground created a ZEE5 Hall of Fame and allowed contestants to use a medium of their choice to create their designs including iPads and an iMac. With giveaways and special gratifications for the most outstanding designs, the event celebrated innovation, creativity, and the magic of visual storytelling, the company further clarified.

Furthermore, Chaoji, along with his team created a card-based game that allows designers to understand and ideate products in a more meaningful manner based on the end-user. The company stated that this is a process that he and his team are building internally to boost ZEE5’s tech capabilities and create learning opportunities for their team.

The event saw attendance from students, industry veterans and designers from across geographies. Designyatra is an anti-disciplinary conference, hosting designers from the fields of graphic, interior, product, industrial, furniture, and many more.

Speaking about the development, Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer at ZEE5 India, said, “Designyatra stands as a premier platform, bringing together global representation across industries to celebrate and showcase design excellence. At ZEE5, our commitment has always been to elevate the platform experience through various touchpoints, where design plays a crucial role in shaping our product offerings. We extend our gratitude to our partners for uniting the brightest minds in the creative industry, paving the way for a new era of design innovation.”

Further, Rajesh Kejriwal, Founder CEO, Kyoorius, said, “Kyoorius Designyatra in 2024 transformed into an Academy of Play, bringing together an anti-disciplinary speaker roster to inspire the next generation of design in India. The Kyoorius Design Awards 2024 has seen an influx of entries and is a testament to the growth and power of design in India. This is made possible by ZEE5’s continued commitment to find India’s design excellence a spot on the global stage and inculcating an immense culture of design within their own practice.”
